England Report
Manchester and London
July 17-27, 2005

Tony and Lisa left New York Kennedy airport on Sunday, July 17, and traveled to Manchester, England, arriving the following day. This was Tony’s second trip to be with Matt and Julie Beemer, pastors of World Harvest Bible Church. He was with them two years ago when their Bible school—World Harvest Bible Training Center—was inaugurated, and it was a joy for both he and Lisa to join them for the graduation of their charter class.

Training Center Sessions
Tony taught Tuesday through Thursday mornings, three hours each day, on the subject of “Ministry Killers You Must Conquer.” Tony and Lisa were both impressed with the caliber of the WHBTC students, and with the excellent program that Matt, Julie, and their team have developed. The Beemers have a big heart for the world, and thirteen nations are represented in the school, with students attending who are from such countries as Iran, Egypt, Ireland, Uganda, and Nigeria, just to name a few. Their ministry is truly multi-national and multi-cultural, and it is exciting to witness their effectiveness in reaching various people groups. (We strongly encourage you to check out the Beemer’s web-site at www.goyewhbc.com).

Tuesday Night Prayer
On Tuesday evening, following worship by Mark Wilhite, Lisa led the congregation in a song, taught on the subject of “Prayer and Forgiveness,” and then led the congregation in an extended and powerful time of prayer.

Alumni Luncheon
On Friday, a group of RHEMA graduates assembled for a great time of fellowship and a splendid lunch in the WHBC’s brand new Logos Café. While England is facing numerous challenges (spiritually and otherwise), we heard positive testimonies from several enthusiastic ministers—graduates of RHEMA—who report that many lives are being touched by the gospel there. We were blessed to see these ministers excited about the in-roads that the Word of God is finding in this country that has, in the past, given birth to many great ministers, revivals, and Christian movements. In addition to the Alumni ministering in England, Jim Roghan and Monika Wagner also attended from RHEMA Germany.

WHBTC Commencement Exercises
Friday evening was a real highlight of the week, as the training center celebrated the graduation ceremonies of its charter class. Several students shared outstanding testimonies about what God had done in their life through the training center, and their zeal to impact the world was evident.

Tony spoke at the ceremony, exhorting the graduates to use what they had learned to fulfill God’s purpose for their lives.

In Search of Timothy Seminar
On Saturday, Tony conducted an “In Search of Timothy” seminar. Church leaders and members attended from several different congregations and ministries. Lisa worked with the children during the morning sessions of the seminar.

Sunday Church
Tony preached on the subject of God’s Grace in both of the Sunday services for WHBC. The first service is English-speaking, while the second service is Farsi-speaking for the church’s Iranian congregation.
