Multiple Services – Our church has grown, and our one Sunday morning service is getting crowded. I feel like we’re going to start losing people if we don’t start an additional service. We’re praying about what to do, but I’d love to hear from pastors who have added another weekend service. When is the right time to do it? How do I make sure that we’re ready for another service? How do I prepare the people? Are there any pitfalls I need to watch out for, and what do I need to do to make sure that this really benefits our church? Read the responses.

What God is Not
Learning Through the Process of Elimination
Rev. Tony Cooke

As much as we’d all like to be omniscient and get it 100% right the first time, every time, most of us on occasion learn through some trial-and-error, through the process of elimination. Even some of the great leaders of the Bible learned this way. One of the great skills (or graces) in life is the ability to trust, but we also need to have the ability to adjust. We must have the humility to admit that we may have missed it, even if our intentions and motives were right.  Read the article.

New Audio Interview
Becoming a Go-and-Do Church

Tony recently conducted an interview with Pastor Ed Russo in Tampa, Florida, about Becoming a ‘Go-and-Do’ Church.  Pastor Ed shares great insights about how they went from being plateaued to a growing church through involving their people in servant and lifestyle evangelism.  You can listen to or download this message by clicking here.

There is another calling upon your life besides that of a pastor or a leader. It is the call to pray. It is a higher calling than even the call to ministry or to preach the gospel. In prayer you will reach more people, change more lives and be more powerful than you could ever be just standing behind the pulpit preaching.  If you only answer the call to preach and not the call to pray, then you will limit your ministry to half of what is possible.  Read the article.
