The Law of Faith
Bill Anzevino

Bill Anzevino, a Youngstown, Ohio, native and graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, has served as Senior Pastor at the Christian Assembly Church in Industry, Pennsylvania since 1979. The call of God upon his life came in June of 1979 when he heard the audible voice of God say, “you will be the next pastor of that church!”

His teaching emphasis on applying the principles of God’s Word to one’s life by faith, has resulted in seeing many miracles and transformed lives among the congregants. Also, many have entered the full-time ministry, pastoring churches, or traveling around the world proclaiming Christ’s total Gospel for the total deliverance and development of the total man.

Pastor Bill resides in Beaver, Pennsylvania, with his wife Krista and their three children, Karli Rose, Dante, and Andrew. The following is an excerpt from my book, “We Believe – The Testimony of Andrew Anzevino.” Our son, Andrew Anzevino, was born with 22q11 (a deletion of his 22nd chromosome), partial DiGeorge Syndrome, Tetralogy of Fallot, no left pulmonary artery, a partial thymus, pulmonary stenosis, and an immune system similar to one with AIDS. The book reveals the principles and spiritual laws we used to bring Andrew back from Heaven and win the battle for his life. The Law of Faith by Bill Anzevino

God has provided us with an instruction manual for life’s situations called the Bible. Contained within the Bible are the spiritual laws of God. God’s spiritual laws are eternal, carry a higher level of authority, and surpass the earth’s physical laws.

Sir Isaac Newton discovered the law of gravity in the 1600’s, but the law was there since the beginning of creation. Men saw that apples fell from the trees to the ground, but it took them thousands of years to discover why. Then men discovered the laws of lift and thrust that momentarily overcame the law of gravity, and the science of aeronautics was born. However, the law of lift and thrust were also there from the beginning just waiting to be discovered and understood by men.

God’s spiritual laws are greater than physical laws. Iron axe heads don’t normally float in water. Their weight and the force of gravity cause them to sink. Yet, a spiritual law overruled a physical law and brought an axe head to the surface of the water (2 Kings 6:5-6). Time on earth does not normally stop or reverse. It keeps ticking forward. Yet, God’s spiritual law of faith brought time to a halt. The sun stood still, and the moon did not move when Joshua commanded them to stop (Joshua 10:12-13). Isaiah, the prophet, cried unto the Lord and used God’s spiritual law of faith to make the shadow of the sun travel backward on a sundial (2 Kings 20:9-11). As long as Peter remained in faith, he walked on the water at the verbal command of Jesus (Matthew 14:29). What did these people understand that most do not? They understood that physical laws could be overcome through cooperating with the will of God, and tapping into His supernatural power by applying the spiritual law of faith.

The spiritual law of faith has been in the Bible since God inspired men to write it; but, just as gravity, and the laws of lift and thrust needed to be discovered and understood before planes could fly, God’s spiritual laws needed to be discovered and understood too. God’s Word defines faith and tells us how to apply it to His power to make our faith effective. It is important to know that God’s spiritual laws always work within the perimeters of His will. If it isn’t God’s will, then we cannot apply His spiritual laws to make something happen. Knowing God’s will in a situation is vital.

God’s law of faith works for all of us, anywhere, no matter where we are in life, in the same way that we can depend upon gravity to keep our feet on the ground. It doesn’t matter about our background, our creed, or our doctrine. The Word works for anyone that will believe it and apply it. When we take up the sword of the Spirit, God’s Word (Ephesians 6:17; Hebrews 4:12), and speak it over our life’s situations, we pave the way for the mighty force of God to move.

The Law of Faith

Mark 11:23

For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

Jesus instructs us to:

  • Say or speak to the mountain.
  • Believe the things that we say shall happen.
  • Believe and don’t doubt.

Notice that Jesus emphasized the word “say” three times in that verse, but He only mentioned the word “believe” once. Apparently, it is a little more difficult to get our saying in line with our believing; or perhaps it is more difficult to believe that the things we say matter. God’s Word reveals that what we believe and what we speak from our mouth must agree. Our faith and speech must be in harmony.

It was this law that enabled Andrew to grow a left pulmonary artery, overcome a compromised immune system and rise above the many challenges connected to 22q11. Death and life are truly in the power of the tongue!
