Wake Up, We’re In a War!

Sodom or Salem? by Vicki ShearinIt’s been fifteen years since the September 11, 2001 terror attacks on the United States. Immediately following 9/11, President George W. Bush began to emphasize that our country was in “a different kind of war.” Indeed, most of us had no idea we were in a war at all, but we suddenly realized that evil men had been plotting against us and we had been caught unaware and unprotected against an unthinkable assault.

Similarly, there is another war being waged in America that far too many of us are unaware of. The moral fabric of our country is unraveling, and the very foundations upon which our freedoms have been built are being compromised.

U.S. Supreme Court rulings in the last few decades have taken away the right to life from unborn children and taken away prayer and Bible reading from children in our public schools. Recent rulings, legalizing sodomy and same-sex marriage, have exposed children in public schools as young as kindergarteners to LGBT propaganda. Books like King and King have been read to students in elementary school classrooms since 2003. Numerous public and charter schools have plans to teach students as young as kindergarten about “gender identity” in the fall of 2017. One of the books is My Princess Boy, a book about a boy who likes to dress in girls’ clothing and do “girly” things.

The next U.S. President will appoint (and the Senate will confirm) at least one justice, and probably two or three more, to the High Court, which could tip the scales for innocent children for decades to come. Since neither unborn children nor children in our public schools have a vote in the election, it’s up to us, the Christians in America, to consider their plight as we go to the polls.

It is recorded in three of the four Gospels that Jesus said it would be better to have a millstone tied around your neck and be thrown into the sea than to offend a child or cause him to sin. (A millstone is a huge, circular tool made from stone that was used for grinding grain, weighing up to 300 pounds!)

Abraham Lincoln said, “The philosophy of the schoolroom today will be the philosophy of government tomorrow.” Like Jesus’ parable about the good man who planted a good field, and while he slept an enemy sowed tares (Matthew 13:24-30), the Church in America (and in many other countries) has carelessly drifted off to sleep, removing ourselves from active political involvement, and we’re finally waking up to discover that while we have been sleeping, “an enemy” has sown secular humanistic tares in our Judeo-Christian field.

Make no mistake! The goal of the “gay rights” movement goes far beyond protecting the rights of “LGBT Americans!” Unlike the Civil Rights movement which began in the Church as Christians were awakened to their God-given and Constitutional rights, what has “sprung up” while Christians have been sleeping, is a strategic, sophisticated, well funded campaign of deception, heralding the Civil Rights themes of “equality” and “anti-discrimination”, in order to normalize and legitimize the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) lifestyle and vilify all who oppose it, which ultimately results in the silencing of the Church and the criminalizing of Christianity.

Wake up! We’re in a war!
