I recently heard someone say, "The Holy Spirit will never convict the believer of sin; He will only reveal to us who we are in Christ." Not only is there no scriptural support for such a statement, but if that were the case, then Paul instructed Timothy to use the Word of God to do something that the Holy Spirit would refuse to be a part of.
