Matt and Julie met at Rhema Bible Training Center – USA where they graduated in 1991/92 respectively.
After two years of supportive ministry in Michigan the Beemer’s moved to Liverpool, England to work with a missions organization that focused its efforts on reaching the unreached areas of the world. It was during this time that the Lord dropped into Matt & Julie’s heart the vision to pioneer World Harvest Bible Church in Manchester, England

Pastor Matt reports, "When we moved to England God told us that England is a nation from which to reach the nations. He said it would happen both IN the country and FROM the country and that’s why we are here. I would love to be in the jungles somewhere with a tribe no one has ever heard of, but God has us here so that we can reach the nations both in England and from England. Since we moved here (1994) we have seen it come to pass – Just like the Lord said"
World Harvest Bible Church held its first Sunday service on the 13th of April 1997 with just 17 people in attendance. Since this time, WHBC has grown to more than 500 members and is one of the largest churches in Manchester, a city of 3.5 million people. It’s the ONLY ‘Word of Faith’ church in the city, and the largest ‘Word of Faith’ church in a region where there are 11 million people within one hour, and 33 million people within two hours!
Having established a strong local church two other important aspects of the vision, a ministry training center and missionary resourcing agency, were started in 2002. As Pastor Matt has said, "This three prong vision of church, training center, and mission resourcing agency, is how we are fulfilling our purpose."
Reaching Muslims: More than 1000 Muslims have come to the Lord through WHBC in the first 10 years of the life of the church. This growth forced us to have a separate interpreted service for those who speak Farsi on Sunday mornings.
Commenting on this ministry Pastor Matt says, "The potential here is amazing – WHBC’s work with Persians has drawn attention from local and national media and organizations of all kinds. Even the Iranian secret police and the Iranian black market traders know about what we are doing. However, we are only scratching the surface. We could easily triple the number of Muslims we are reaching here in Manchester if we had more people to help. It’s a very exciting ministry with almost weekly testimonies of visions of Jesus or incredible healings and most importantly 2-3 Muslims coming to Jesus every week!"
Not only did the Lord tell us that England is a nation from which to reach the nations and that it would happen IN the country. He also said we would reach the nations FROM the country!
Egypt: Since 1998 we’ve ministered to thousands of people in crusades and to more than 1600 ministers and denominational leaders. We’ve been able to provide 1200 Kenneth Hagin books in Arabic. World Harvest Bible Training Centre started in September 2003. A center of excellence for ministry training, WHBTC is one of only a few ‘Word of Faith’ based training centers in the entire United Kingdom. We now graduated our first class and our graduates are involved in ministry! The training center is the next step in our plan to reach the UK and the World with this message.
The Sowers Club: The third part of the vision that God gave us was to mobilize missionaries into the unreached nations of the world. We are using our years of mission experience to help others get to the mission field. Our 20/20 vision is to train and mobilize 1000 missionaries by the year 2020.
