Report of September 2016 Activities
China: I ministered for four days in China at the Shanghai International Church (Pastor Daniel Ho). This type of church is unique in that it is made up of people from sixty different nations. I did three days of leadership training (In Search of Timothy) and two Sunday services.
Mardel Managers: Upon returning from China, I headed to Oklahoma City to speak to managers of Mardel’s stores from around the nation. Mardel is a nationwide chain of Christian bookstores that is part of the Hobby Lobby Corporation. The CEO, Jay DePalmo, is a Rhema graduate, and I was honored to speak to their managers and also to some of their executives at their corporate office. Each of them received a copy of our book, Qualified: Serving God with Integrity and Finishing Your Course with Honor.
Medical Residents: The day after speaking at Mardel, I drove over to a ranch near the Arkansas border and spent two hours with young doctors in a residency program, sharing with them on “The Importance of the Word of God.” All of these doctors are a part of Dr. Mitch Duininck’s “In His Image” residency program.
Timothy Videos: Last month, I let you know that we have a new video series available to accompany our book, Qualified, and I’m pleased with the number of orders we have received for this training material. We also now have available our In Search of Timothy video series (fourteen video lessons that are twenty-eight minutes each) available on a USB drive. This makes it less expensive and easier to utilize than when the series was in DVD format.
New Book Translation: I just saw our book—Your Place on God’s Dream Team—in the Portuguese language. We are thankful for all that God is allowing us to be a part of, and we are very grateful for the privilege of doing what we’re called to do: strengthening churches and leaders.
